Terms & Conditions
Thank You for your interest in Your Cake, by Victoria. At this point you may be considering ordering your one of a kind cake. If you are, it's really important to have a quick read through my terms and conditions. All cake orders are subject to the following:
Orders
Only when a design and quote has been agreed between Your Cake and the client, the client is required to secure the date with a 50% deposit. This will be deducted from the final balance. No date is secure until a deposit is paid. Your Cake advises the client pays the deposit as soon as the clients invoice is received to avoid disappointment. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The remainder of the balance can be paid Bank transfer or a Paypal payment can be paid 3 days before arranged pick up time or cash can be accepted on the arranged day for pick up.
Creating a client's dream cake can occasionally be inspired by other cake maker's work. Here at Your Cake we respect the work of other cake makers therefore will not recreate an image or design exactly, instead we will make our own interpretation to create something original.
Your Cake by Victoria must be notified of any desired change to the order (including cancellation) as soon as possible, this will allow the possibility of accommodating such changes within the original timescale. Changes to the original order may incur an extra charge. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate proposed changes, Your Cake reserves the right to decline any such changes for whatever reason.
Any order in which the client wishes to cancel must be submitted in writing (email victoria@yourcakebyvictoria.com) and it is the responsibility of the client to ensure Your Cake receives the cancellation. Upon Your Cake receiving the cancellation, the client will be sent a confirmation email which will also contain any outstanding amounts due.
Full payment of the outstanding balance is required to be paid if canelation is made within one week of a celebration cake and 1 month of a wedding cake date. Cupcakes can be cancelled up to 3 days prior to pick up.
Any outstanding balance due must be paid within 7 days of the client receiving the cancellation confirmation.

Storage
Sugar paste (soft icing covering the cake) is not designed to be refrigerated as it can cause the formation of water droplets on the surface and/or the colours to run. Cakes decorated with this type of icing should be stored in a cool dry place, preferably in the box in which they were supplied.
Ingredients
All fruit cakes may contain nuts, or traces of nuts or nut oil. Any of the various flavoured sponge cakes are made to be eaten on the day of the celebration. The cakes are made in premises in which nuts are used; every effort is taken to keep ingredients separate however cakes may contain traces of nuts or nut oil.
It is the clients responsibility to notify Your Cake of any allergies that need to be taken into consideration. Special requirements can be put into place when making allergy free cakes. Ingredients labelling will be included in your collection pack to inform the client of ingredients used throughtout the production and decorating of the cake.

Cakes are to be collected from our premises at a prearranged time and date only. Your Cake can deliver if client is prepared to pay a delivery fee.
Publication
Your Cake, by Victoria reserves the right to use any image of a cake made by Your Cake, by Victoria for publication at a later date.
Disputes
Any refund offered as a result of a dispute regarding a cake design or production of a design is completely at the discretion of Your Cake, by Victoria. Full refunds cannot be given for any cake which has been completely consumed or disposed of regardless of the nature of the dispute. Consumption of the cake is taken as the client's acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied. All cakes are photographed from different angles to show cake quality and appearance at the time of collection/delivery. At the time of collection the client will be asked to sign an acceptance form to indicate that they agree the cake(s) meets the required standard of appearance. Once the cake has been collected by the client, Your Cake, by Victoria can accept no responsibility for loss or damage to the cake or items supplied with the cake such as decorations, base boards and stands. The above in no way affect your statutory rights.
Internal structures may be used within the cake for extra support of the weight and to ensure carved or Gravity defying cakes will be safely transported. These are non edible but are sealed and made food safe. They are made using dowels, PVC Piping or Metal threaded rod. Your Cake uses aluminium to seal them to ensure no cake is exposed to any internal structure. Internal structure will ALWAYS be discussed with the client before the order is confirmed.
Internal structure may also be found in sugar models. Although edible mediums are used to decorate the model, Your Cake strongly advises against eating them due to the use of internal structure, unless otherwise stated. Internal structures are made using floral wires and are made food safe but still would be harmful if the model was consumed or bitten (please be aware especially with children)
Structures
Transporting your cake
Please ensure before collecting your cake the boot of your car or foot well is clear of any obstruction and that your cake can be safely transported here. The cake is required to stay on a flat surface at all times during transportation and at no point should the cake be held. The cakes are required to stay flat to ensure no damage is incurred to the cake. If held at an angle, the cake's weight is not level and this may cause the cake to collapse.
Delivery is always recommended if you do not feel confident to transport your cake. Charges do apply.
